The 24-Hour Global Market Trading Clock

At DTI, we place major emphasis on teaching traders the importance of paying attention to and understanding what is happening in other global markets outside of the U.S. We all live in a “24-hour global market” where the markets never sleep as they are traded around the world each day even after the U.S. market closes. Those foreign markets can affect and influence ours so just focusing on the U.S. market only gives you part of the picture.

In this video, DTI’s Chief Instructor, Geof Smith, explains the daily timeframes of the U.S., Asian, and European markets in relation to one another which together form the 24-hour global market. He also discusses the trade zones, bracket bars and reference bars that comprise part of the DTI Method.
