Tom Busby

Chairman and Founder
Tom Busby’s trading career dates back to the late 1970’s. Quoted and published in Futures magazine and Active Trader Magazine, he actively trades and invests in futures, stocks, options and currencies. Guest appearances include CNN, First Business News, MoneyShow.com and Steve Crowley’s American Scene Radio. Recognized as one of the first educators to trade live in front of an audience, Tom authored Winning the Day Trading Game, The Markets Never Sleep, and Trade to Win. Tom founded DTI in 1996 and with his more than 38+ years of trading experience has helped thousands of students become better traders.

Geoffrey Smith

Chief Instructor
Chief Instructor of the Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 Core Curriculum Classes, Commodities instructor, regular educator and instructor on the 24-hour Educational TradeRoom, and one of Tom Busby’s first students.

An active trader and investor for 30+ years, Geof focuses in futures, equities and option trading including trading commodity option futures. Geof took an instrumental role in developing the DTI Method. The Platinum Experience core level classes took first place in SFO Magazine and Trader Planet’s STAR awards in the best trading courses category. Before coming to DTI, Geof was an operations managing engineer.

Chuck Crow

Key Numbers Class instructor, 24-hour Educational TradeRoom educator and trader with special focus on the Night Owl training session held at 9pm CT.

Chuck Crow is one of the “original” employees of DTI and learned side-by-side with Tom Busby since he embarked on a career in trading education. Working as a clerk for Tom in early 1996, Chuck completed his education just 3 years later receiving a BA from Spring Hill College in 1999. Chuck is an expert on watching key numbers and has written DTI’s Pre Market Planner since 2001. Chuck currently hosts the Night Owl where he instructs students on what to look for during the night market and upcoming day market as well as providing an overview of the market weeks, months and quarters.

Charlie Finn

Charlie Finn started trading options in the mid-1970’s – shortly after the CBOE opened. For the last several years, Charlie has been trading options full time and recently joined DTI as a mentor for a short-term options trading room.
